Ex-Chelsea star Dan Petrescu, 52, rushed to hospital after testing positive for Coronavirus
Former Chelsea star, Dan Petrescu has been rushed to the hospital after testing positive for Coronavirus.

The Romanian ex-defender, 52, who is currently the coach of his home country's reigning champions, CFR Cluj, was transported this morning to the hospital with a special ambulance.

He is the 13th member of the football club infected with the novel coronavirus. Other members infected are Grzegorz Sandomierski (goalkeeper), Cristi Manea (defender), Adrian P?un (midfielder), Damjan Djokovic (mijloca?), Dan Petrescu (coach), Cristian Moldovan (goalkeeper coach), Costin Curelea (assistant coach), Cristian Dragot? (physical trainer), Bogdan Aldea (physical trainer) and Radu Pralea (physiotherapist).

Cristi B?lgr?dean, C?t?lin Golofca and Claudiu Petrilahae initially tested positive for COVID-19, but in the second round of testing, their result came came back negative.

Petrescu helped Chelsea win the Cup Winners' Cup, FA Cup, League Cup, and UEFA Super Cup during his time in West London. He ended his five-year Stamford Bridge spell in 2000, and went on to play for Bradford and Southampton.
